Whether the topic is gun violence, racism, sexual assualt/harrassment or drug epidemics, our greatest accomplishments, to date, have been finger pointing and meaningless political declarations of war.
We’ve become focused on soundbytes and headlines and forgotten that actions need to be taken.
If we preach to our children that they are not entitled, and must earn their stakes in life, then we must model that same accountability. We are accountable for fixing the above issues.
Our actions, not political rants, will ultimately begin the process of making our society safer for our children.
